Role Description The Senior Embedded Engineer will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full-time capacity, designing and developing embedded software for IoT-based smart water and sewage management solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting embedded systems, writing and optimizing firmware, integrating sensors and communication modules, and collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver robust products. The role involves debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems in lab and field environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of deployed solutions.

The engineer will contribute to product roadmap discussions, perform code reviews, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement of existing platforms.



Close collaboration with cross-functional teams is expected to ensure that solutions meet customer requirements and operate effectively in real-world conditions.

Qualifications

- Robust proficiency in embedded software programming and embedded software development, with experience in C/C++ or similar languages for microcontrollers and SoCs.
- Hands-on experience with software development for embedded systems, including real-time operating systems, communication protocols, and hardware-software integration.
- Proven ability in debugging embedded systems, using tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, debuggers, and version control systems.
- Practical experience with Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, including sensor integration, wireless communication (e.g., Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa, NB-IoT), and cloud connectivity.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, with several years of relevant industry experience in embedded systems.
- Familiarity with low-power design, hardware schematics, and working closely with PCB and hardware teams.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with strong problem-solving skills and clear technical communication.
- Experience in environmental, utilities, or industrial automation domains is an advantage, along with a demonstrated interest in sustainability and resource efficiency.
