Jain-Richter Group

Delhi

Jain-Richter Group connects Indian and European companies with the right partner on the other side. You find those partners, run the projects that bring them together, and sit at the table with the Managing Partner.

The practical terms first

- ₹45,000 to ₹60,000 a month depending on experience, on a consultancy agreement
- Plus performance-based pay
- Remote from Delhi NCR, Monday to Saturday, starting by 07:30 IST
- In person with clients in Delhi NCR 10 to 15 days a quarter

What is on the desk now

You work across all four services, because the work arrives that way. Every project is confidential, so these are described without names.

Technology transfer & joint ventures

- A European biogas technology owner wants Indian EPC contractors to take its licence.
- A German engineering firm builds biogas plants for Indian clients.
- A joint venture is moving from term sheet to company.

Investment & acquisitions

- Indian investors are looking at German companies, hotels and real estate.
- A European pharmaceutical site needs a buyer.
- Investors want Indian greentech opportunities.

Market entry & access

- German Mittelstand companies are preparing to enter India.
- Indian technology companies want a way into German industry.

Trade & sourcing

- Trading houses want agricultural commodities and edible oils.
- New enquiries need qualifying before anyone spends time on them.

The work

Find and qualify the right companies (about 35%)

- Build the target list for each project: manufacturers, EPC contractors, investors, Mittelstand companies, suppliers and buyers.
- Check what each company claims against sources a client can verify: filings, certification registers, trade fair exhibitor lists, trade data.
- Deliver a ranked shortlist with a short case for each name, and a separate list of what you could not verify.

Run the projects (about 30%)

- Own the tracker for four to six live projects, so every thread carries an owner and a dated next step.
- Prepare a one-page brief for every meeting, route NDAs and keep the documents in order.
- Send minutes and follow-ups the same day, and chase every open thread to a yes, a no or a date.

Work with clients and partners (about 25%)

- Join client and partner calls and the meetings in Delhi NCR, and present your own research.
- Be the day-to-day contact for information requests.
- Represent the firm at trade fairs and come back with qualified contacts and written notes.

Improve how the firm works (about 10%)

- Fix what slows the work down: the project tracker, the CRM, research and handover templates, and the AI research workflows.
- Write down each process you improve, so the next person can run it without asking.
- Propose one improvement a month, agree it with the Managing Partner, and put it in use. Client deadlines always come first.

How we work together

We work across two time zones: the Managing Partner in Singapore, you in India. A few simple habits keep us in step and make sure your work keeps moving without waiting on anyone.

1. Progress over perfection. We work on an 80/20 basis. A clear first answer early is worth more than a perfect one late, so share what you have as soon as it is enough to decide the next step.
2. Raise it early. If something is not working after about two hours, let us know and suggest a way forward. Getting stuck is normal; staying stuck alone is what we want to avoid.
3. Align before you dive in. For anything that will take longer than a day, send a short note first: how you understand the task, how you plan to approach it, and when you expect to finish.
4. A short daily update. At the end of your day, by 17:00 IST, a few lines on what you completed, anything that is blocked, and your priorities for tomorrow.
5. Stay connected in the mornings. A short call each morning, and replies within a couple of hours between 07:30 and 13:00 IST.

"I could not verify this" is always a valuable answer. We value honesty over a confident guess. What this role is not

- Not an executive assistant role. No calendar management, inbox triage, travel booking or errands.
- Not a sales role. You find and qualify companies. The Managing Partner pitches, prices, negotiates and signs. That boundary is legal, not a judgement about you.
- Not web development or design.

You

- Mid to senior level: at least five years in consulting, market research, transaction support, investment promotion, a chamber of commerce or an embassy's commercial section.
- You can name a project you ran from start to finish and what it changed.

- You write English that goes to a German managing director or an Indian promoter family with light edits or none. You speak Hindi well enough to call a company and ask a short set of questions.
- Excel or Sheets to a working standard. You use AI research tools and check every fact against its original source.
- You live in Delhi NCR, meet in person on a few days' notice, and work on your own laptop.
- German is a real advantage, and is paid as one.
- The role is open to anyone, whatever their gender, community or marital status.

Your first 90 days

- Day 30: the tracker is live for every open project, nothing sits without a dated next step, and the daily handover runs unasked. One ranked target list delivered.
- Day 60: you run the weekly rhythm of one project on your own, and own the follow-ups from at least two client meetings.
- Day 90: at least one project has moved a full stage, with you as the working contact on our side. One improved process is written down and in use.

Pay The monthly fee is fixed and paid against your invoice. Performance-based pay is at the firm's discretion and scored on four things you control:

- Delivery: milestones met on the agreed date, or moved in writing before they were missed.
- Research quality: sources a client can check, a ranking with reasons, an honest unverified list.
- Project control: every thread with an owner and a next step, and a handover on every working day.
- Client and partner feedback: how the people on the other side describe working with you.

Performance-based pay is never linked to a deal, a commission or a transaction value. That is a legal requirement, and it keeps the incentive on the quality of the work.

How to apply

Apply here on LinkedIn. Then email your answers to the two questions below, in no more than 150 words each, to [email protected] with the subject line "Senior Consultant, your name".

1. Describe one project you ran from start to finish. What was the outcome, and what did you personally do?
2. Tell us about a time you stopped working on something because it was not going anywhere. How long did it take you to notice, and who did you tell?

Applications without the two answers are not read. Shortlisted candidates have one interview of 45 minutes with the Managing Partner, a two-hour case study, and a paid trial week on real work before any agreement is signed. We reply to everyone within seven days, and if we say no, we say why in a line.
