Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Alias Modeler to join our design team. In this role, the candidate will transform 2D design concepts (sketches, renderings, and packages) into high-quality 3D digital surfaces (Class-A and production-ready models) using Autodesk Alias. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between creative design and engineering, ensuring aesthetic intent is maintained through final production.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop advanced 3D Class-A surfaces from initial concept sketches, clay scans, and engineering data using Autodesk Alias. Collaborate closely with designers and engineering teams to interpret styling intent and resolve technical packaging constraints. Guide and mentor junior modelers on advanced surfacing techniques and optimal modelling workflows.

Prepare and optimize 3D data for high-end digital renderings, VR presentations, and rapid prototyping. Participate in design reviews and proactively propose solutions for complex geometric challenges.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Experience: 8-12 years of experience in 3D digital modelling within the automotive or industrial product design industry.
- Software Expertise: Expert-level mastery of Autodesk Alias (Surface/Automotive). Experience with VRed, Rhino, or Sub-D modelling is a strong plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Class-A surfacing criteria, highlights, G2/G3 continuity, and manufacturing constraints.
- Soft Skills: Solid spatial visualization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight project deadlines.
