We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites. The SDET will work closely with the development team to understand application functionality and ensure that software quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases and test frameworks for applications.
- Collaborate with developers to understand the application architecture and functionalities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test strategies.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to the development team.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and testability.
- Continuously improve test automation processes and tools.
- Keep up to date with the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
Skills and Tools Required
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Proficiency in using test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
- Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented workplace.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance, and automation development.
- Previous experience in a software development role is a plus.
