Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Join our fast-growing engineering team as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). In this role you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks that ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Python, Selenium, and Java.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality metrics.
3. Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for new and existing features.
4. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
5. Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and work with developers to drive resolutions.
6. Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
7. Provide clear and timely reporting on test coverage, defects, and overall product quality.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,



or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. 2–3 years of hands-on experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role.
3. Strong programming skills in Python and Java with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
4. Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for web application testing.
5. Experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
6. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, RESTful APIs, and HTTP protocols.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with solid verbal and written communication abilities.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
2. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
3. Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Behave.
4. Exposure to version control systems (Git) and code review practices.
5. ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
