Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automated test frameworks using Python and Selenium.
2. Create, execute, and analyze automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
3. Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists to define quality benchmarks and acceptance criteria.
4. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable delivery of features.
5. Leverage generative AI (GenAI) tools to enhance test coverage, data generation, and defect prediction.
6. Investigate test failures, diagnose root causes, and drive timely resolutions with development teams.
7. Contribute to test strategy, planning, and documentation to ensure comprehensive coverage and traceability.
8. Advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and quality assurance across the organization.





Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. 3–5 years of professional experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role.
3. Robust proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
4. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and related automation frameworks.
5. Proven track record integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
6. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality metrics.
7. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments with cross-functional teams.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

1. Practical exposure to generative AI (GenAI) frameworks or large language models for test data generation or test optimization.
2. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust) and security testing practices.
4. Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks (e.g., Behave, pytest-bdd, Cucumber).
5. Contributions to open-source automation projects or active participation in testing communities.
