Your role

Are you passionate about mobile application development and building impactful products using Flutter? At Khatabook, we are looking for a Software Development Engineer I – Flutter to join our Disbursal Pod.

In this role, you will contribute to developing and enhancing mobile application features that power our digital lending and loan disbursal journeys. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to build seamless, reliable, and user-friendly experiences for merchants.

We are looking for engineers with 1–2 years of hands-on software development experience, a strong understanding of Flutter and Dart, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

What would you do at Khatabook

- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing solutions to implementation, testing, and deployment.

- Develop,



maintain, and enhance mobile application features using Flutter and Dart for digital lending and loan disbursal journeys.

- Build responsive, intuitive, and reusable user interfaces that simplify the lending experience for merchants.

- Implement effective state management using solutions such as BLoC, Provider, Riverpod, or equivalent frameworks.

- Integrate REST APIs and collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless communication between mobile applications and backend services.

- Handle asynchronous operations, API responses, error scenarios, and loading states to deliver reliable application experiences.

- Write clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices.

- Debug application issues, troubleshoot defects, and contribute to improving application performance and stability.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and application release activities.

- Contribute to unit testing and widget testing to improve application quality and reliability.

- Take ownership of assigned features and continuously improve engineering practices, code quality, and development efficiency.

What are we looking for

- 1–2 years of relevant software development experience, with hands-on experience in Flutter application development.

- Strong understanding of Flutter and Dart, including building reusable widgets and responsive mobile interfaces.

- Experience with state management solutions such as BLoC, Provider, Riverpod, or GetX.

- Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs,



handling asynchronous operations, and parsing JSON responses.

- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving fundamentals.

- Understanding of mobile application architecture, navigation, lifecycle management, and separation of concerns.

- Ability to write clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable code.

- Familiarity with Git, debugging tools, and collaborative software development workflows.

- Basic understanding of unit testing, widget testing, and application troubleshooting.

- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, ownership, and communication skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate requirements into working solutions.

- Exposure to fintech, digital lending, payments, or transaction-oriented applications will be an added advantage.

- Familiarity with mobile application performance optimization, CI/CD, and release processes will be a plus.
