Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce DevOps Engineer with hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps to streamline, automate, and optimize our Salesforce application deployment lifecycle. In this role, you will bridge the gap between Salesforce development, QA, and release management by building robust CI/CD pipelines, managing environment governance across sandboxes, and establishing automated testing and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in Azure DevOps Pipelines for Salesforce applications (Apex, LWC, Flows, Metadata).
2. Salesforce Release Management: Automate deployments, manage branch strategies (Git/Azure Repos), handle merge conflicts, and manage sandbox refreshes and environment alignment.
3. Salesforce CLI & Tooling: Utilize SFDX / Salesforce CLI along with native Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, AutoRABIT, Gearset, or Flosum) integrated into Azure DevOps pipelines.
4. Code Quality & Security: Integrate automated static code analysis (PMD, SonarQube, Salesforce Code Analyzer), security scanning, and automated unit test executions within Azure DevOps pipelines.
5. Automation & Scripting: Develop custom scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Node.js to extend pipeline capabilities and automate repetitive tasks.
6. Data & Configuration Management:



Manage test data seeding into sandboxes and enforce configuration management practices across multi-org environments.
7. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with Salesforce Developers, Architects, Admins, and QA teams to troubleshoot deployment failures and continuously improve build and release velocity.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. Experience: 6+ years of experience in Salesforce DevOps and Release Engineering combined with 4+ years of hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts).
2. Salesforce Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of Salesforce metadata structure, Package XML, SFDX, Scratch Orgs, and sandbox strategies.
3. Version Control: Mastery of Git branching models (e.g., GitFlow, Trunk-based development) and Azure Repos management.
4. Scripting: Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
5. Static Code Analysis & Governance: Experience setting up Quality Gates using tools like SonarQube, PMD, or Checkmarx in Azure CI pipelines.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

1. Certification in Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect.
2. Experience with specialized Salesforce DevOps platforms like Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, or Flosum.
3. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep for provisioned Azure infrastructure.
