Role Description The Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Centrepoint in Chennai. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new corporate and leisure business, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and promoting hotel rooms, banquet spaces, and restaurant offerings. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and cold calling, conducting sales visits and presentations, negotiating rates and contracts, and preparing proposals to meet revenue targets.

The Sales

Representative will collaborate closely with the front office, reservations,



and food & beverage teams to ensure seamless guest experiences and effective execution of group bookings and events. Regular reporting, market analysis, and participation in promotional activities and local networking events are also key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

- Robust sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets in hospitality or related industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain client relationships and present services effectively.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple accounts, follow up on leads, and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
- Comfort with basic computer applications and hotel sales or reservation systems; ability to prepare reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Understanding of the local Chennai hospitality market and corporate segments; prior hotel sales experience is highly advantageous.
- Customer-focused mindset, professionalism in appearance and behavior, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
