Why this role existsComplyJet has grown fast on inbound sales motion to SMB companies. Now mid-market companies are coming to us, many of them switching from Vanta and Drata. The next step is going out and finding those buyers before they find us. We need an SDR who can build that outbound engine with the founder, then help scale it. You won't be one seat on a big SDR floor. You'll be the first person doing this job here.
About ComplyJetComplyJet is an AI-native compliance platform. It helps SaaS companies get SOC 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001 certified in weeks, not months. We automate up to 90% of the compliance process and give white-glove audit support, so teams stop losing deals to security reviews and start closing them.
Our mid-market platform adds more frameworks, security questionnaire automation and managed audits for teams that have outgrown their first compliance tool.
Who you'll work withVarun Jain is a serial entrepreneur with 15+ years of building and scaling companies in enterprise AI, e-commerce and financial services. He built ComplyJet after living the compliance problem himself as a founder. You'll work with him every day: testing messaging, sitting in on calls and reviewing what's working each week.
Who you'll sell toUS and European SaaS companies with roughly 100 to 500 employees. Your buyers are CTOs, CISOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Security and Compliance. Most already have a compliance tool or are about to buy one. They're dealing with enterprise security reviews, adding a additional frameworks, or an audit that keeps slipping. Every deal involves a buying committee, not just one founder.
What you'll doYour job is to make outbound a real source of pipeline at ComplyJet.
Here's what that looks like over your first 6 months:
Month 1: Absorb and ramp
- Learn the product, our frameworks and how mid-market buyers evaluate compliance tools
- Sit in on founder-led calls and write down the pains, objections and language that come up
- Run multi-channel outbound every day across cold calls, email and LinkedIn
Months 2 to 3: Execute and prove
- Refine multi-channel outbound every day across cold calls, email and LinkedIn
- Write openers tied to real triggers: a funding round, a big enterprise deal, a new framework, a renewal with an incumbent tool
- Test new messaging, subject lines, call openers and segments every week
Months 4 to 6: Own and scale
- Own the mid-market outbound motion end to end
- Write the outbound playbook so the next SDR ramps in weeks, not months
- Work with marketing on events, webinars, and feed what you hear back into positioning
Who you are
- 2+ years in an SDR, BDR or outbound role at a B2B SaaS company, selling to the US market
- You've built pipeline from cold outbound and can walk us through your results with real numbers
- You've sold to technical or senior buyers: engineering, security,
IT or finance leaders
- You like the phone. Cold calls don't scare you, and rejection doesn't drain you
- You write short, clear emails that sound like a person, not a template
- You're already using AI in your workflow for research, personalization or sequencing
- You'd rather build the process than inherit one
Bonus points
- Outbound into mid-market or enterprise accounts, with multi-threading
- Experience selling compliance, security, or DevOps products
- You know SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA frameworks
- You've worked at an early-stage startup or been the first SDR somewhere
What we offer
- Direct access to the CEO for coaching, call reviews and messaging sessions every week
- A clear path into an AE role or founding sales leadership as the team grows
- Unlimited AI tooling budget and the freedom to try new outbound workflows
- A product customers love, in a market where every SaaS company eventually needs what we sell
- Real ownership. Your ideas ship this week, not next quarter
What we'll be honest aboutThis is a current motion. There's no proven mid-market outbound playbook yet. You'll help write it. Mid-market buyers are harder to reach than startup founders. They have more people involved, longer cycles and incumbent tools. You'll need to learn compliance well enough to earn a technical buyer's attention in the first 30 seconds of a call.
Some weeks will be uncomfortable. But if you pull it off, you'll have built outbound from scratch at a company that's working, and you'll be first in line to lead it.
