We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Construction Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental activities at construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations, conducting site inspections, identifying potential hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees, subcontractors, and workers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Safety Management

- Implement and monitor site-specific Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure the availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor daily construction activities and ensure safe working practices.

2. Risk Assessment and Hazard Control

- Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and method statements.
- Identify hazards associated with civil works, interior fit-out, electrical works, scaffolding, work at height, lifting operations, and other construction activities.
- Ensure permit-to-work procedures are followed for high-risk activities.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures.

3. Safety Training and Awareness

- Conduct safety induction training for recent employees, subcontractors, and workers.
- Organize toolbox talks and regular safety awareness sessions.
- Train workers on emergency procedures, PPE usage, fire prevention, and hazard reporting.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the project site.

4. Incident Management

- Investigate accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences.
- Prepare incident reports and identify root causes.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Maintain records of incidents, safety observations, and corrective actions.

5. Site Coordination and Compliance

- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, supervisors,



clients, and subcontractors on safety matters.
- Monitor the safe use of tools, machinery, electrical equipment, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Ensure fire extinguishers, first-aid facilities, emergency exits, and evacuation arrangements are maintained.
- Monitor housekeeping, waste disposal, material storage, and access routes.
- Coordinate safety audits, inspections, and client safety reviews.

6. Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain safety inspection reports, training records, permits, risk assessments, and incident registers.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
- Track safety observations and ensure timely closure of non-compliance issues.
- Maintain documentation required for client audits and statutory inspections.

Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and hazard identification.
- Good understanding of work-at-height safety, electrical safety, fire safety, scaffolding, and permit-to-work systems.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage workers and subcontractors and enforce safety procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Certifications
- Recognized Industrial Safety qualification.
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent international safety qualification.
- First Aid, Fire Safety, and emergency response training.
- Relevant construction safety training certifications.

- Compliance with site safety procedures and applicable legal requirements.
- Timely completion of safety inspections and audits.
- Closure of safety observations within agreed timelines.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
