Role Overview The Advanced Field Law & Development Researcher will support legal and policy-related work through field and desk research, fact verification, legal analysis, case-data management, precedent research, report preparation, and litigation support. The role requires strong field investigation skills, analytical ability, and independent research capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct legal, socio-legal, and development-related field research.
- Collect, verify, organise, and analyse case-related information.
- Research statutes, case laws, policies, and legal developments.
- Prepare briefs, reports, summaries, and research notes.
- Assist in legal strategy development and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.

Eligibility

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Law, Legal Studies, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Criminology, or related fields.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct independent field investigations.
- Knowledge of legal research tools and documentation practices.
- Prior legal research, litigation support, policy research, or field research experience will be preferred.

Research Competency Training Programme





Candidates who do not sufficiently demonstrate the required level of legal field research, documentation, analytical, and reporting skills during assessment may be invited to join an optional Research Competency Training Programme.

- Programme Contribution: ₹2,500.
- Intended solely for skill development, practical exposure, assessment, and certification.
- Participation is voluntary and does not create an employer-employee relationship.
- Participation or completion does not guarantee employment, internship, engagement, or appointment.
- Candidates may be considered for employment only on the basis of merit, performance, suitability, verification of credentials, and organisational requirements.
- A completion certificate may be issued upon successful completion.
- Any fee shall be accepted only against an official receipt and programme terms communicated in writing.
