Purpose/Objective

The Quantity Survey Executive (Roads) is responsible for ensuring accurate quantity take-offs, preparing comprehensive BOQs, and managing cost estimation and budgeting for highway, bridge, and tunnel projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, timelines, and financial objectives while effectively tracking and reporting project progress.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Quantity Take-off and BOQ Preparation: • Perform quantity take-offs for highways, bridges, and tunnels using engineering drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and specifications.

- Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for all project phases, including initial tendering, O&M; (Operations and Maintenance), and closeout phases.
- Ensure all BOQs are aligned with project scope and specifications, facilitating accurate cost estimations.
- Ensure quantity and cost estimates are accurately reflected and aligned with project goals in the tender documents.
- Track quantities from tender stages through to final GFC drawings, identifying and addressing discrepancies between initial estimates and actual requirements.
- Prepare and manage change order scopes and variation claims, ensuring all claims are properly documented and substantiated.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting: • Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC, CAPEX, and OPEX based on project requirements.

- Develop and monitor lifecycle cost estimates,



considering time to complete and potential project risks.
- Provide pre-tender, post-tender, and closeout cost estimates, ensuring all estimates are aligned with project budgets and financial objectives.
- Participate in the preparation of cost estimates for change orders and variation claims, ensuring they are accurate and justified.

Project Monitoring and Reporting: • Monitor site quantity surveying activities, ensuring all in office measurements and reports are accurate and aligned with project scope and timelines.

- Provide regular reports on quantity tracking, budget planning, and cost monitoring, ensuring that project leadership is informed of potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.
- Assist in budget planning and monitoring, ensuring that project costs are tracked accurately and remain within approved budgets.

Qualifications and Experience
