About the Position:

The ideal QA Automation Engineer should have strong knowledge of web application testing, automation framework development, API testing, and regression testing.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript, while working closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Requirements:

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Develop and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
- Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and automation scripts.
- Automate web applications across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and other supported browsers.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through defect management tools.




- Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to investigate and resolve defects.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation suites based on application changes.
- Execute automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, automation reports, and relevant QA artifacts.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Experience and Qualifications:

- 2 - 4 years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or any IT related field
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Framework.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Web Application Testing concepts.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, Playwright API, or REST Assured.
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Git and version control practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Candidates are preferred from Chennai / Tamilnadu / candidates willing to relocate to Chennai. Good-to-Have Skills:

- Experience in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with SQL and Database Testing.
- Exposure to Azure Cloud or AWS environments.
