Position: Purchase Executive

Location - Chennai

Job Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day purchase and store activities.
- Source materials, collect quotations, and compare prices.
- Prepare Purchase Orders and coordinate with suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery.
- Receive and verify materials as per PO and delivery documents.
- Prepare GRN and maintain purchase and stock records.
- Maintain material issue, receipt, and stock registers.
- Monitor stock levels and arrange materials based on site requirements.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Accounts, and suppliers.
- Check material quality, quantity, and specifications.
- Maintain proper documentation of purchases and inventory.




- Monitor material consumption and avoid unnecessary wastage.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification.
- Report shortages, damages, price changes, and delays to management.

Skills Required
- Knowledge of construction materials and procurement.
- Good negotiation and supplier coordination skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and inventory management.
- Basic knowledge of GRN, PO, quotation, and invoice verification.
- Positive communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of Tally/ERP is an added advantage.
