Procurement Management

- Handle sourcing and procurement of:

- Plant consumables (MRO items, tools, lubricants, safety materials)

- CAPEX items (machinery, equipment, plant infrastructure)

- Packaging materials (cartons, labels, films, pallets, foils)

- Sheet metal & fabricated components (CRCA, HR sheets, SS, aluminum, job work)

- Float RFQs/RFPs, evaluate quotations, and prepare techno-commercial comparisons

- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials

Vendor Development &

- Management

- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors across all categories

- Maintain strong supplier relationships for cost, quality, and delivery improvements

- Conduct supplier performance reviews and corrective actions

Cost &

- Negotiation

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers

- Perform cost analysis (commodity trends, fabrication costing, packaging inputs)

- Drive cost-saving initiatives and value engineering

Technical &

- Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and design teams

- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications (for CAPEX & sheet metal)

- Ensure materials meet required quality standards and specifications

Planning &

- Inventory Control

- Monitor consumption patterns and ensure optimum inventory levels

- Support demand forecasting and procurement planning

- Avoid stock-outs and excess inventory

Compliance &

- Documentation

- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and audit requirements

- Maintain documentation (POs, contracts, vendor records)

- Support CAPEX budgeting and tracking

Market Intelligence

- Track price trends for steel, packaging materials (paper/plastic), and industrial supplies

- Identify alternative materials/vendors for cost and efficiency improvements
