Purchase Electronics - Assistant Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Sourcing:
- Identify and source suppliers for various electronic components based on requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain a list of approved suppliers and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Evaluate and compare supplier quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Manage the purchase order process from creation to delivery.

- Vendor Management:

- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Assess vendor capabilities and ensure they align with the company's needs.
- Conduct regular vendor audits to ensure compliance with agreements.

- Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels of electronic components and initiate orders as necessary.
- Ensure an efficient stock rotation system and reduce excess inventory.
- Work with the logistics team to ensure the timely delivery of components.
- Track orders and follow up on delays or quality issues with suppliers.

- Cost Control:

- Assist in budgeting and cost management for electronics procurement.
- Look for opportunities to reduce costs through strategic sourcing, negotiating better prices, and managing inventory effectively.
- Analyze procurement data to forecast future purchase needs and trends.

- Quality Control:





- Ensure all purchased components meet the organization’s quality standards.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to assess and approve the quality of incoming materials.
- Handle non-conforming materials or defective items with suppliers and work toward a resolution.

- Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, contracts, and transactions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement status, budgets, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in the procurement process.

- Collaboration:

- Work closely with internal teams, such as production, engineering, and logistics, to ensure the timely availability of components for manufacturing or product development.
- Provide updates on the status of orders, expected delivery timelines, and any potential delays.
- Collaborate with engineering or R&D; teams to understand new product requirements and source necessary components.

- Market Research & Trend Analysis:

- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and current suppliers or technologies in the electronics sector.
- Conduct market research to ensure the company gets the best possible value for its procurement needs.
- Attend industry conferences or events to build networks and learn about new suppliers or components.
