Key Responsibilities

- Develop Engineering execution plan and Assist the Project Manager in the project initiation activities and in preparation of the Project Execution Plan;
- Manage design engineering scope, deliverables including coordination with the various discipline groups;
- Manage all change in the scope of work and ensure that appropriate change requests are current and adequate
- Perform the engineering coordination of technical meetings
- Monitor and control project performance against schedule and quality and safety requirements using appropriate control tools and reporting of same to Management
- Manage multi-discipline engineering teams in the delivery of scopes through regular progress meeting and by facilitation where multi-discipline issues require discussion and resolution
- Promote quality and safety on the project

- Assuring the application to project of all the relevant norms, local rules, company standards and international best practices on accident prevention and human protection, environmental impact reduction and energy efficiency.
- Ensure implementation of applicable Lessons Learns of previous projects during Design and registering all Lessons Learnt/Best practise of current project during execution stage.

- Execution of workshops related to HAZOP, SIL, HAZID, QRA, Design Reviews, 3D model reviews and constructability studies & Follow up of applying all the results from those workshops.
- Coordination of Weekly Project meetings and circulation of MOM and Action List
- Monitor and Report Engineering activities performance, preparation of catch-up plan
- Coordination & follow up of Model Review meetings, Tag closure,



clash resolutions, TDL resolution, Consistency check
- Ensure timely implementation of project safety requirements on the design according Company and international HSE Specifications and norms

- Ensure the fulfilment of the engineering activities schedule.

- Provide inputs for the proposals on career development of the engineering specialists within his/her functionality

- Ensure compliance of Company guidelines and Quality Assurance system.
- Clear understanding of the interfaces activities between EPC Contractors and third parties.
- Coordination of project/package technical interfaces activities.
- Provide support in ensuring the completeness of the interface aspects.
- Active participation on the development of functional strategy within the framework of functional areas.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
- Adhere to the Company’s health, safety, environmental and security policies at all times and immediately report violations of these policies to health, safety & setting representatives;

Manage the document control process to ensure that information flows are; properly managed within, and between it and other key stakeholders, particularly the Authority.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:





- Engineering degree from a recognized university (MBA/PMP will be added advantage)
- 15+ years’ experience in project experience in major capital projects & minimum 2 EPC project in similar role.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of industry codes and standards and design criteria within the engineering industry
- Strong knowledge of HSE procedures and practices
- Proficient knowledge of project processes and procedures
- Proficient execution planning skills
- Pro-active, good communication and coordination skills
- Strong in organizing and managing complex engineering activities
- Working knowledge of project control systems
- Working knowledge of the EPC business and estimating processes
- Knowledge of proposals and bid processes
- Experience in change management procedures
- Understands contractual requirements for the project
- Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills are required
- Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook

Knowledge in Smart Plant systems (SPPID,SP3D,SPEL,SPI,SPF) application in project engineering will be added advantage
