Position Title: Project Associate-1 (Research)
Funding Source: Quantum Research Park (QuRP), Indian Institute of Science
Location: GITAM University, Bangalore
Duration: [Until October 2028, Opportunity to get into GITAM's PhD Program]
Salary: As per QuRP guidelines [ 37000 INR p.m]
Project Description: We will be exploring the development strategies for a single photon detector using layered high-Tc superconductor
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Associate located in Bengaluru.
Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental and/or theoretical research in quantum materials and systems.
- Collaborate with team members to design, execute, and analyze experiments or simulations.
- Develop new methodologies for fabricating devices and studying quantum phenomena.
- Assist in preparing research publications, presentations, and reports.
- Support undergraduate students and contribute to the group's academic activities.
- Support as a teaching assistant as and when needed.
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed a degree in Physics or Engineering Physics (MSc/BE/BTech ).
Desirable
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics and Condensed Matter Physics.
- Proficiency in programming.
- Experience with experimental setups or computational tools used in quantum research is a plus.
- Sincerity to the work Commitment for a minimum 1 year is a must and non-negotiable.
