Laser & Bending

1. Programming:

- Develop CNC programs for laser cutting machines (e.g., Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada).

- Create accurate press brake bending programs, including tool selection and bend sequence optimization.

- Use CAM software (e.g., LVD CADMAN, Radan, BySoft, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to generate machine-ready files.

- Perform nesting operations to maximize material usage and minimize waste.

2. Machine Setup & Support:

- Provide setup instructions and support for operators on bending and laser machines.

- Ensure all required tooling is available and configured correctly for each job.

- Conduct first-piece inspections and trial runs to verify accuracy.

3. Quality & Compliance:

- Interpret and apply engineering drawings, GD&T;, and material specifications.





- Ensure parts meet tolerance and quality standards.

- Modify programs or processes in response to quality issues or production feedback.

4. Process Optimization:

- Analyze production workflows and suggest improvements for speed, cost, and material efficiency.

- Reduce machine downtime through optimized programming and sequencing.

5. Communication & Documentation:

- Collaborate with design engineers, production supervisors, and QA teams.

- Maintain accurate documentation for all programs, setups, and changes.

- Provide training or guidance to machine operators on program intent and function.
