Job Overview:

The Production Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily production activities in the dairy processing plant, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines. This role requires a deep understanding of dairy production processes, equipment, and quality control measures. The specialist will work closely with various departments to optimize processes and improve product yield and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Oversight:
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring efficient operation of equipment and adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor production processes for consistency and ensure that products meet company and industry quality standards.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality control, logistics) to ensure seamless production flow.

- Quality Control:

- Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address product deviations or non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

- Process Optimization:

- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Work with the engineering team to optimize the use of equipment and improve production line performance.
- Assist in the implementation of current production processes, equipment, or technologies.

- Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure that all production activities adhere to safety regulations, including workplace safety and food safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for production staff.




- Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with local and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).

- Team Management & Training:

- Train production staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), equipment operation, and quality standards.
- Provide guidance and support to production team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency.

- Reporting & Documentation:

- Maintain accurate production records, including daily production reports, quality logs, and inventory usage.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on production efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Ensure that all production-related documents are up-to-date and comply with industry regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production management or a similar role within the dairy industry.
- Strong knowledge of dairy processing techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with quality control standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in using production management software and MS Office.
