Position Overview:

The Production Specialist in a milk powder plant oversees the production processes to ensure that milk powder is manufactured efficiently, meeting quality standards, and adhering to safety and environmental regulations. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Operations Management:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure targets are met.
- Oversee the operation of equipment such as evaporators, spray dryers, and packaging machinery.
- Monitor production parameters (temperature, humidity, etc.) to ensure optimal process conditions.

- Quality Assurance:

- Ensure compliance with product quality standards, including moisture content, solubility, and nutrient levels.
- Conduct routine checks and collaborate with the Quality Control (QC) team to address deviations.
- Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

- Process Optimization:

- Analyze production processes to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
- Suggest and implement changes to reduce waste, energy consumption, and downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize unplanned stoppages.

- Health, Safety, and Workplace (HSE):

- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.




- Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Address and resolve any safety or environmental incidents promptly.

- Team Leadership and Training:

- Provide training to operators on new processes, machinery, and safety protocols.
- Lead and motivate production teams to achieve performance goals.
- Address workforce challenges and foster teamwork.

- Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate production logs and reports, including downtime, yield, and efficiency metrics.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to management.
- Ensure proper documentation of process deviations, corrective actions, and audits.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years in a production or operational role, preferably in the dairy industry or a milk powder plant.
- Hands-on experience with production machinery, such as dryers, separators, or pasteurizers.

- Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, and other food safety systems.
- Proficiency in using production management tools and software.

- Soft Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and time management.
