Position: Production Engineer

Experience: 3–6 years

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or relevant field

Work Location: Manipal, Karnataka

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Production Engineer to manage day-to-day production activities, ensure production targets are met, and improve manufacturing processes, quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

● Plan and monitor daily production activities and schedules.

● Coordinate manpower, materials, machines, and resources.

● Monitor production output, productivity, and downtime.

● Troubleshoot production and process-related issues.

● Implement mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) and error-prevention mechanisms to prevent process and assembly defects at source.

● Root-cause analysis: 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, 8D, CAPA, and structured problem- solving.

● Process engineering: line balancing, takt time, capacity planning, bottleneck identification, cycle-time improvement, and workstation optimization.Quality ownership: first-pass yield, defects, NCRs, customer/internal complaints, CAPA, and coordination with Quality.

● Ensure production follows approved SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.





● Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and other teams.

● Identify and implement process and productivity improvements.

● Maintain production records and prepare production reports.

● Support equipment maintenance and ensure proper utilization.

● Train and guide production technicians/operators.

● Ensure compliance with safety and company procedures.

Required Skills:

● Strong knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.

● Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

● Experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred.

● Practical knowledge of Poka-Yoke, defect prevention, process controls, and error- proofing techniques.

● Knowledge of FMEA/PFMEA and ability to translate identified risks into effective preventive controls.

● Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement is an advantage.

● Positive communication, coordination, and team-handling skills.

● Knowledge of ISO/quality systems is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
