Product Handling Engineer - NPD

1. Product Flow Optimization

- Design and implement systems to optimize the movement and handling of products through the production or supply chain.

- Analyze product flow data to identify and eliminate bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

- Develop strategies to improve overall throughput and reduce handling costs.

2. Process Design and Improvement

- Develop, test, and refine processes related to the packaging, storage, and movement of products.

- Suggest and implement improvements to existing systems or introduce current handling techniques to enhance product quality and safety.

3. Equipment Management

- Select and maintain handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, cranes, forklifts) to ensure safe and efficient operations.

- Ensure that all equipment meets safety standards and is regularly serviced to minimize downtime.

- Implement systems to track equipment performance and optimize usage.

4. Safety Compliance

- Ensure that all product handling processes comply with safety standards and regulations.

- Monitor the safety of employees and products during handling and storage.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement procedures to mitigate potential hazards related to product handling.

5. Inventory Management

- Coordinate with inventory management teams to ensure that products are stored properly, minimizing damage and reducing loss.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting

- Gather and analyze data related to product handling efficiency, costs, and safety incidents.
