Purpose/Objective

To lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Water division within Adani RMRW, directly supporting the CEO's office.

This role is pivotal in driving project execution, establishing robust monitoring mechanisms, and ensuring operational excellence across large-scale water infrastructure projects to align with the business's strategic growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for all water infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with the CEO's strategic vision.
- Drive end-to-end project monitoring, tracking physical and financial progress across multiple water treatment and distribution projects.
- Implement standardized project management frameworks, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for executive review.
- Collaborate with site project heads and engineering teams to identify operational bottlenecks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee budget allocations, tracking capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenses (OPEX) to maximize project ROI.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination between procurement, legal, and execution teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Drive digital transformation within the PMO by adopting advanced project monitoring tools and data analytics platforms.
- Conduct rigorous performance reviews and site audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive management information system (MIS) reports and executive summaries for the CEO and board members.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

- Minimum 15+ years of experience in project management, with a solid focus on large-scale water infrastructure or EPC projects.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.

- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management is strongly preferred.

Years & Type of Experience - 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in project monitoring and operations within the infrastructure sector.

- Significant experience managing a PMO or directly supporting C-level executives in a strategic capacity.

Domain Expertise - Deep understanding of water infrastructure project lifecycles, including desalination, wastewater treatment, and bulk water supply.

- Expertise in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliances, environmental clearances, and government contracting in the water sector.

Digital & Operational Tools - Advanced proficiency in enterprise project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.

- Experience with ERP systems (e.

, SAP) for financial and resource tracking.

- Strong capability in data visualization and BI tools (e.

g.

, Power BI, Tableau) for executive dashboard creation.
