Role Description The Owner role at Virtusa in Hyderabad is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives, operational performance, and stakeholder outcomes within a defined business unit or portfolio. The Owner will define vision and objectives, set priorities, and ensure alignment with Virtusa’s AI-native engineering strategy and client commitments. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding cross-functional teams, reviewing project and program performance, managing budgets and resource allocation, and making data-informed decisions to improve delivery quality and business impact.

The role involves collaborating with clients and internal leaders, communicating progress and risks,



and ensuring that solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with long-term growth goals. The Owner will also mentor team members, foster an inclusive and high-performance culture, and champion continuous improvement and innovation in processes and services.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in business ownership, product ownership, or portfolio management, with accountability for financial performance, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
- Robust background in technology-driven environments, preferably in AI, digital transformation, or engineering services, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable initiatives.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, including client engagement, contract oversight, and executive-level communication across global teams.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, driving change, and building collaborative, inclusive, and performance-focused work environments.
- Ability to use data and metrics for decision-making, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of processes and outcomes.
- Familiarity with enterprise operations in industries such as financial services, healthcare, insurance, communications, media, retail, or high-tech is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
