The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 2 Engineer will be responsible for conducting, supervising, and managing NDT inspections in compliance with industry standards, primarily NAS 410. The engineer will lead and mentor a team of NDT technicians, ensuring that all inspections meet the requisite quality standards.
Key responsibilities include evaluating inspection results, preparing detailed reports, and maintaining NDT equipment. The engineer will also liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as Nadcap and AS91000
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee non-destructive testing inspections using various methods including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Interpret and evaluate NDT results to determine the presence of defects in materials and components.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports, technique sheets and documentation.
- Train, mentor, and supervise NDT technicians.
- Ensure adherence to NAS 410 standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical support and recommendations based on inspection findings.
- Maintain NDT equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in non-destructive testing methods.
Skills Required
- In-depth knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques and principles.Aerospace background is must.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and inspection standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and evaluate testing results.

Tools Required
- NDT equipment such as magnetic particle inspection systems, liquid penetrant testing equipment and consumables.
