We are seeking a Manual Test Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual test cases based on functional specifications.
The Manual Test
Engineer will work closely with the development team to understand the application functionality and ensure quality deliverables. This role requires attention to detail, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:sss
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Identify and document defects, bugs, and issues in the software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide feedback on application functionality.
- Participate in daily huddles, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation and reports to track testing progress and results.
- Perform regression testing and ensure that enhancements and changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Provide input into test automation efforts where appropriate to improve testing efficiency.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills to articulate testing processes, findings, and recommendations clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
Preferred Tools
- Defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Test management tools like TestRail or Quality Center.
- Basic familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.
