Purpose/Objective

The Manager – Electrical is responsible for overall planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning, and handover of Electrical and C&I; systems for large-scale manufacturing and infrastructure projects.

The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, controlling project costs and schedules, and driving successful project delivery aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Key Roles & Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution - Lead end-to-end execution of Electrical and C&I; works across project packages.

- Develop execution strategies, resource plans, and milestone schedules.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.

Technical Management - Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.

- Resolve critical technical issues and provide guidance to project teams.
- Ensure implementation of best engineering practices and applicable standards.

Contractor & Stakeholder Management - Manage EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and service providers.

- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Civil, Mechanical, Utility, and Operations teams.
- Conduct review meetings and drive closure of pending technical and execution issues.

Quality, Safety & Compliance - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, electrical regulations, and HSE standards.

- Drive implementation of Quality Plans, ITPs, and inspection protocols.
- Monitor safety performance and ensure zero major incidents at site.
- Lead audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action implementation.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover - Lead testing, commissioning, energization, and performance validation activities.





- Ensure readiness of systems for operation and production requirements.
- Review commissioning documentation and oversee project handover to Operations.

Material & Cost Control - Monitor project budgets and control electrical/C&I; project expenditures.

- Review PRs, technical evaluations, material availability, and consumption trends.
- Ensure material reconciliation and optimization of resources.

Team Leadership & Development - Lead and mentor Deputy Managers, Assistant Managers, Engineers, and site teams.

- Establish transparent goals, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
- Build team capabilities through coaching and technical guidance.

Reporting & Management Review - Present project progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management.

- Prepare monthly project dashboards, MIS reports, and executive summaries.
- Support management in strategic decision-making and project planning.

Key Result Areas (KRAs) - On-time completion of Electrical & C&I; project milestones.

- Achievement of project cost and budget targets.
- Zero major safety incidents and regulatory non-compliance.
- Successful commissioning and handover of systems.
- Effective contractor and stakeholder management.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: B.

Tech in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics Engineering Experience: 12-18 years of experience in Electrical project execution, commissioning, and team leadership within large industrial, manufacturing, EPC, power, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.
