Ferrite TX & Inductor The Manager of Ferrite Transformers & Inductors – ETD is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processes of designing, manufacturing, and optimizing ferrite transformers and inductors based on ETD core shapes (e.g., ETD 29, ETD 39). This includes managing a team, ensuring the production of high-quality components, optimizing processes, and meeting performance specifications for power electronics applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Design and Development:
- Lead the design, development, and improvement of ferrite transformers and inductors using ETD cores for power electronics applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that components meet performance requirements, including efficiency, thermal management, and electrical characteristics.
- Conduct simulations and testing to validate design concepts before production.

- Team Leadership and Management:

- Manage a team of engineers and technical staff involved in the design, testing, and production of ferrite-based transformers and inductors.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring that they are well-equipped to handle technical challenges.
- Oversee workload distribution, team collaboration, and performance management within the department.

- Manufacturing and Production Oversight:

- Supervise the manufacturing process of ferrite transformers and inductors, ensuring that the components are produced on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Coordinate with the production team to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve efficiency in the production of ETD-based inductors and transformers.
- Ensure that materials, such as ferrite cores, windings, and other components, are sourced and handled according to quality standards.





- Quality Assurance and Testing:

- Oversee quality control processes to ensure that all ferrite transformers and inductors meet the highest industry standards, including electrical, thermal, and mechanical specifications.
- Manage testing and validation procedures, including temperature rise testing, inductance measurements, and efficiency tests for the inductors and transformers.
- Implement corrective actions when quality issues arise and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.

- Product Performance Optimization:

- Continuously monitor the performance of ferrite transformers and inductors, making design and process improvements as necessary to meet market and customer demands.
- Implement design modifications to enhance the power handling capacity, reduce losses, improve frequency response, and optimize thermal management.
- Collaborate with R&D; to stay up-to-date on current ferrite materials and ETD core technologies that can improve component performance.

- Cost Management and Budgeting:

- Develop and manage budgets for the design, prototyping, and production of ferrite-based transformers and inductors.
- Analyze the cost of materials, labor, and production processes to optimize costs while maintaining the required quality standards.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives,



including more efficient manufacturing methods or material sourcing strategies.

- Cross-Department Collaboration:

- Work closely with other departments, including procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure smooth product development and delivery.
- Support sales teams with technical expertise for customer inquiries related to ferrite transformers and inductors, including providing design support or product specifications.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to identify new market trends and customer needs related to ferrite-based power components.

- Supply Chain and Vendor Management:

- Oversee the procurement and inventory management of materials, including ferrite cores, wire, and other components necessary for transformer and inductor production.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in the handling of materials and components.

- Regulatory Compliance and Industry Standards:

- Ensure that all products comply with relevant safety standards, certifications, and environmental regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in ferrite core materials and ETD transformer design.

- Customer Support and Issue Resolution:

- Act as the point of contact for addressing customer concerns or technical issues related to ferrite transformers and inductors.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues with ETD-based components in the field.
- Ensure that products meet the specific requirements of customers, particularly in high-performance power electronics applications.
