Role Description The Machine Vision Developer will design, develop, and deploy machine vision solutions for automated inspection, measurement, and quality control in automotive and electronics manufacturing lines. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves configuring cameras and lighting, selecting appropriate lenses, and integrating vision systems with automation equipment and back-end software.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building and optimizing vision algorithms, conducting feasibility studies and trials, troubleshooting system performance on the shop floor, and collaborating with project and maintenance teams to ensure reliable operation.



The role also includes documenting solutions, supporting installation and commissioning, and providing technical input for new projects and cost-optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Computer Science with understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience in Software Development and Programming, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
- Knowledge of Back-End Web Development for integrating machine vision systems with databases, APIs, and production monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with machine vision tools and libraries (e.g., OpenCV, HALCON, Cognex, Keyence, or similar).
- Familiarity with industrial automation concepts, PLCs, robotics, and communication protocols is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze production requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver practical, robust solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
