Purpose/Objective

We are looking for an experienced Lead – Manufacturing Engineering to drive manufacturing engineering activities for our Aircraft Services business.

The incumbent will be responsible for establishing, improving, and sustaining manufacturing and aircraft maintenance/servicing processes while ensuring safety, quality, cost, delivery, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in aircraft manufacturing, assembly, MRO, production engineering, tooling, process planning, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Lead manufacturing engineering activities for aircraft assembly, maintenance, repair, modification, and servicing operations.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, process sheets, SOPs, routing, and production documentation.
- Define manufacturing methods, process sequences, cycle times, manpower requirements, tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
- Support aircraft structural, mechanical, electrical, and system-level assembly and integration activities.
- Drive industrialization and production readiness for new aircraft programmes, modifications, and engineering changes.
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Planning, and Aircraft Maintenance teams for smooth execution.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation for manufacturability.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for manufacturing and production-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cycle-time reduction, productivity improvement, cost optimization, and reduction of rework/rejection.




- Ensure effective configuration and implementation of engineering changes and process changes on the shop floor.
- Support selection, development, validation, and commissioning of production equipment, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and special processes.
- Ensure manufacturing and aircraft service processes comply with applicable aviation quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal/customer/regulatory audits and ensure closure of manufacturing-related observations.
- Develop and mentor manufacturing engineers and shop-floor teams to strengthen technical capabilities.
- Establish and monitor manufacturing KPIs related to quality, cost, delivery, productivity, safety, and process adherence.

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

- 10–15 years of relevant experience in aircraft/aerospace manufacturing, aircraft services, MRO, or a closely related aerospace environment.
- Strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering.
- Good understanding of aircraft structures, assemblies, mechanical systems, electrical/electronic systems, and aircraft integration processes.
- Experience in manufacturing process planning, tooling, assembly methodologies, shop-floor problem-solving, and production support.
- Exposure to aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, or MRO operations will be highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of AS9100/aviation quality systems, configuration control, FMEA, RCA, CAPA, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, specifications, BOMs, and technical documents.
- Strong cross-functional coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and resolve complex manufacturing issues in a time-sensitive production setting.
