Laser Cutting & Bending Incharge The Laser Cutting and Bending Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the laser cutting and bending processes in the sheet metal fabrication shop. This role is responsible for managing a team to ensure the smooth, effective, and high-quality production of sheet metal components, while meeting production schedules and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Oversight:
- Supervise and manage all operations related to Laser Cutting and Bending within the fabrication shop.
- Lead and motivate a team of machine operators, technicians, and shop floor workers, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure that all laser cutting and bending processes are completed accurately, on time, and in line with customer requirements and quality standards.

- Production Management:

- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of laser cutting and bending machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate production schedules and workflows to ensure timely completion of jobs, while maintaining flexibility for last-minute changes or customer requests.
- Monitor the performance of laser cutting and bending operations, making adjustments as needed to improve productivity and meet production goals.

- Quality Control:

- Ensure that all components produced via laser cutting and bending processes meet quality specifications, including dimensional accuracy, cut quality, and bend precision.
- Implement and enforce stringent quality control checks throughout the process to prevent defects,



such as improper cuts or bends.
- Work with the quality assurance team to address any issues, document defects, and implement corrective actions to improve process quality.

- Team Supervision & Development:

- Supervise a skilled team of operators and technicians working with laser cutting and bending equipment, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their tasks efficiently and safely.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development to enhance team skills, productivity, and safety.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster a high-performing work environment.

- Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of laser cutting and bending equipment, ensuring machines are operating optimally and downtime is minimized.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or operational issues that arise during the production process.
- Schedule and coordinate regular machine maintenance to ensure machines are running smoothly and to prevent breakdowns.

- Safety & Compliance:

- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the use of laser cutting and bending machinery.




- Ensure all team members are trained on safety standards, including the proper handling of materials and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a safe working environment by regularly assessing risks and addressing potential hazards related to laser cutting and bending operations.

- Process Improvement:

- Continuously assess and analyze laser cutting and bending processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement process improvements and new technologies to enhance production capabilities, reduce material waste, and streamline operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new machinery, and cutting-edge technologies in laser cutting and bending, and recommend upgrades or changes to improve the fabrication process.

- Resource Management:

- Oversee the management of raw materials, ensuring that materials required for laser cutting and bending are available and properly stored.
- Monitor material usage and work to minimize scrap and waste, improving overall material efficiency.
- Assist in the procurement of materials and consumables, ensuring that inventory levels meet production requirements.

- Reporting & Documentation:

- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation related to laser cutting and bending operations, including machine settings, material usage, and production output.
- Prepare reports for management on production performance, quality control, equipment status, and any issues that arise during operations.
