Java Developer with a strong foundation in build tools

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with_ 2 to 3 years of experience_ and solid foundation in build tools and a passion for automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for migrating our existing Ant-based build system to either Maven or Gradle, while preserving the current project structure. Additionally, they will be instrumental in establishing a robust CI/CD pipeline within GitHub to streamline our development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

- Build Tool Migration:
- Conduct a thorough analysis of the current Ant build system to identify dependencies, tasks, and project structure.
- Migrate the build system to either Maven or Gradle, ensuring minimal disruption to the development workflow.
- Maintain the existing project structure for compiled and built files to avoid compatibility issues.
- Optimize the build process for performance and efficiency.
- CI/CD Pipeline Implementation:
- Design and implement a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions.
- Integrate the CI/CD pipeline with the chosen build tool (Maven or Gradle).
- Implement automated testing, code quality checks,



and deployment stages.
- Configure pipeline triggers and notifications for effective collaboration.
- Java Development:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Java-based applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure project success.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- In-depth knowledge of Ant build tool and experience in migrating to Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with other build tools (Maven, Gradle).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
