Role Summary Seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to design, develop, test, and support a large-scale, cloud-native bill presentment platform. The role involves building high-volume distributed systems, microservices, APIs, batch-processing solutions, and integrations that support bill generation, storage, retrieval, reconciliation, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to work within Agile delivery teams while maintaining high standards for quality, scalability, security, and performance.

Required Experience • 5+ years of backend software development experience.

- Solid hands-on experience building enterprise-scale applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
- Experience working with high-volume transaction or batch-processing systems.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience participating in sprint planning, story estimation, daily standups, demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement activities.

- Build scalable microservices capable of supporting high-volume billing workloads.
- Develop and optimize batch-processing solutions to meet strict SLA requirements.

- Participate in application architecture, design discussions, and technical reviews.
- Estimate stories, participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to solution design, performance optimization, and production support activities.
- Write unit tests and participate in quality engineering initiatives.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot production and non-production issues across applications, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, QA/SDET teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders. Nice to Have • Telecom billing experience.
- Amdocs or BriteBill experience.
- Apache FOP, XSL-FO, PDF generation, or document-composition experience.
- Velocity, Freemarker or equivalent templating language • AWS Glue and ETL experience.

- Observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry.
