The Insurance
Executive will be responsible for managing all aspects of patient insurance verification, processing claims, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role involves collaborating with patients, insurance providers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth insurance operations and enhance the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and advantages before services are rendered.
- Accurately process insurance claims and ensure timely submission.
- Follow up on claims and appeals, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage and clarify any questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of insurance interactions and transactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing departments to ensure proper coding and documentation.
- Stay updated with changes in insurance policies, regulations, and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in insurance verification, claims processing, or healthcare billing.
- Strong understanding of medical terminologies, coding, and billing procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and insurance representatives.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and healthcare management software.
