Purpose/Objective

The Incharge Land and Liaison role is pivotal in ensuring seamless land acquisition and liaison processes to support the operational and strategic goals of the Cement business unit in Raigarh.

This role focuses on managing legal documentation, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate land-related matters.

The position aligns with the Adani Group’s commitment to sustainable growth and operational excellence, contributing to the Cement business unit’s expansion and green energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Manage and prepare all legal documents, agreements, deeds, and contracts related to land acquisition processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Survey, Mining, and E&M; departments, to address and resolve land and liaison-related issues effectively.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, zoning requirements, and permitting processes throughout the land acquisition lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, local bodies, and other external stakeholders to facilitate smooth land acquisition and liaison activities.
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for land acquisition projects to identify potential legal or regulatory challenges.
- Support the Cement business unit’s sustainability goals by ensuring land acquisition processes align with environmental and social governance (ESG) standards.
- Monitor and report on the progress of land acquisition projects, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Negotiate with landowners and other stakeholders to secure land deals that align with the business unit’s strategic objectives.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of land records, agreements, and related documentation for audit and reference purposes.
- Provide strategic inputs to the Head of the department on land acquisition trends, challenges,



and opportunities in the region.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications & Experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience in land acquisition, legal documentation, and liaison activities, preferably within the cement or infrastructure industry.

- Proven expertise in managing legal documents, agreements, deeds, and contracts related to land acquisition.
- Strong understanding of local laws, regulations, zoning requirements, and permitting processes.

Educational Background - Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Years & Type of Experience - 5+ years of experience in land acquisition and liaison roles, with a focus on legal and regulatory compliance.

- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in the cement or related industries.

Domain Expertise - In-depth knowledge of land acquisition processes, legal documentation, and compliance requirements.

- Familiarity with the operational and strategic priorities of the cement industry.
- Expertise in stakeholder management, including government authorities and local bodies.

Digital & Operational Tools - Proficiency in legal and land management software tools.

- Familiarity with project management platforms for tracking land acquisition progress.
- Knowledge of GIS and mapping tools for land surveys and assessments.

Leadership Capabilities - Robust negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage complex land acquisition deals.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across departments.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address land acquisition challenges.
