The Assistant Sub Overseer will support the operations team in overseeing coal production and opencast mining activities. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in mining engineering and operations management to ensure efficient and safe mining practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of coal production operations.
- Monitor daily mining activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of mining equipment and operations.
- Provide training and support to junior staff and new team members.
- Prepare reports on production metrics and operational performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years and up to 10 years of experience in mining operations.
- Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of coal production and opencast mining techniques.
- Familiarity with mining safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
