Role Description The Highway Design Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Jaipur, responsible for the planning, design, and detailing of highway and road infrastructure projects. Day-to-day activities include preparing alignment plans, profiles, and cross-sections; designing geometric layouts; and coordinating pavement and drainage design to meet safety, capacity, and sustainability requirements. The role involves working with national and international design standards, developing technical drawings and reports, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, geotechnical, and BIM specialists.

The engineer will participate in design reviews,



support quantity estimation and costing, and provide technical input during construction and site coordination. Regular interaction with project managers and clients is expected to ensure that design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectives.

Qualifications

- Strong technical expertise in highway and road design, including geometric design, pavement design, and drainage planning using relevant national and international standards.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software commonly used in highway engineering (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) and familiarity with BIM workflows for infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of traffic engineering principles, road safety requirements, and construction methodologies for highways and urban roads.
- Ability to interpret surveys, topographic data, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate design options and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, contractors, and clients, including clear documentation and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent); a master’s degree in transportation or highway engineering is an advantage.
- Relevant professional experience in highway or infrastructure design; prior work on urban roads, expressways, or regional corridors is preferred.
- Familiarity with sustainability-focused design practices
