Job Title: Legal Head

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Legal Head to oversee and manage the organisation’s corporate legal affairs. The role involves handling criminal, civil, consumer, property, and brand-related matters, along with legal drafting, documentation, and compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, sound legal judgment, and the ability to independently manage legal cases while providing strategic legal guidance and regular updates to management.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage corporate legal matters, including criminal, civil, consumer, property, and brand-related disputes.
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents, agreements, contracts, notices, and other legal correspondence in both Hindi and English.
- Lead and supervise a team of 4–6 legal professionals, ensuring effective task allocation, coordination, and performance.
- Provide legal opinions, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to management.
- Independently handle legal cases and proceedings while monitoring progress, potential risks, and resolutions.
- Coordinate with external legal counsels, government departments, and relevant authorities as required.




- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and legal standards while protecting the organisation’s interests.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Indian criminal, civil, consumer, and property laws.
- Keep management informed about ongoing legal matters, significant developments, and potential liabilities.
- Monitor changes in legal regulations and incorporate relevant updates into internal policies and practices.

Educational Qualifications

- LLB / LLM from a recognised institution.

Mandatory Requirements

- Must be enrolled with the Bar Council of India or the relevant State Bar Council.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Robust legal drafting and documentation skills in Hindi and English.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Indian laws, particularly criminal, civil, consumer, and property laws.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage legal matters and make sound legal decisions.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to assess legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented advice to management.
