Role & responsibilities

Set the strategic direction for E&I; reliability, automation, safety, energy efficiency and capital investment across the plant.

Key responsibilities

Strategy and plant performance

- Set annual and long-range E&I; reliability targets, asset lifecycle plans, technical standards and succession plans.
- Review breakdown trends, major incident investigations, shutdown effectiveness and plant-wide improvement programs.

Automation, capital projects and commercial

- Own automation modernization, obsolescence planning, system backup/recovery and cybersecurity priorities.
- Lead engineering inputs to current lines and expansions; oversee specifications, FAT/SAT, commissioning, CAPEX and major OEM contracts.

Governance, energy and people

- Lead OPEX/CAPEX planning, vendor strategy, energy reduction and performance reviews.
- Build leadership capability and ensure electrical safety, audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Required technical / leadership skills

Strategic engineering leadership, asset management, BOPET equipment, budgeting, capital projects, automation and energy management

Plant reliability; E&I; downtime; kWh/kg; OPEX/CAPEX delivery; safety compliance; team development

Candidate screening preference

Preference for hands-on BOPET/BOPP film-line experience and familiarity with the plants installed OEM equipment and automation platforms.

HR note: The GM description currently assumes E&I-focused; engineering leadership. Expand the scope to mechanical maintenance and utilities if this is intended as an overall plant engineering role.
