Job Summary

Lead the engineering function from within the Founder s Office - owning the technical direction, development velocity, and engineering culture across all products. This role is the founder s engineering counterpart: you make the hard calls on architecture, prioritise what gets built, and ensure the team ships with quality.

Responsibilities

- Set engineering priorities and sprint cadence across the product ecosystem
- Make architecture and technology decisions alongside the founder
- Review critical code paths, system designs, and deployment strategies
- Recruit, mentor, and grow the engineering team from early stage
- Establish engineering standards - code review, testing, documentation, CI/CD
- Own the relationship between engineering, product, and design functions

What we are looking for

- 3+ years of hands-on engineering leadership in a startup or small team
- Deep proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript, NestJS, and Next.js (our core stack)
- Track record of shipping production systems and growing engineering teams
- Strong opinions, loosely held - you make calls and course-correct rapid
- Comfort with ambiguity, context-switching, and founder-level decision velocity
