Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Engineer Safety with 2-5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations and company safety policies.

2. Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

3. Implement safety procedures and monitor adherence across all departments.

4. Organize safety training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills.

5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare detailed reports.

6. Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.

7. Monitor usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance.

8. Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective actions.

9. Coordinate with production, maintenance, and administration teams on safety matters.

10. Ensure fire safety systems, emergency equipment, and first-aid facilities are maintained and operational.

11. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews by internal and external agencies.

12. Promote employee awareness regarding workplace health, safety,



and environmental practices.

13. Monitor contractor safety activities and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.

14. Prepare periodic safety reports, MIS, and safety performance metrics for management.

15. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to occupational health and safety.

Key Skills

1. Solid knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations.

2. Understanding of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices.

3. Experience in hazard identification and risk assessment.

4. Knowledge of fire safety systems and emergency preparedness.

5. Strong incident investigation and reporting skills.

6. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

7. Excellent communication and training abilities.

8. Good documentation and record management skills.

9. Ability to conduct safety audits and inspections.

10. Problem-solving and analytical thinking.

11. Strong coordination and teamwork skills.

12. Attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Safety, or related discipline.

- Diploma in Industrial Safety (DIS) / Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety preferred.

- Certification in Safety Management, Fire & Safety, or NEBOSH will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 2-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in Manufacturing / Industrial Plants.

- Experience in handling statutory compliance, safety audits, and incident management is preferred.
