- Reports to the Lead Engineer (LE)
- Design and specify Electrical Heat Tracing (EHT) systems for pipelines, tanks, and process equipment to maintain required temperatures and prevent freezing in cold climates.
- Perform thermal analysis to determine heat tracing requirements, including heat loss calculations, cable selection, and power supply requirements.
- Carry out procurement activities such as MR, TBE, Vendor print review etc. for EHT System
- Prepare and review design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and operation manuals for EHT systems.
- Ability to conduct thermal analysis and select appropriate heat tracing cables and components.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Electrical Heat Tracing systems.
- Integrate EHT systems with power distribution and control systems.
- Conduct periodic testing and maintenance on heat tracing systems, including inspection of cables, control panels, and temperature controllers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to EHT systems, including power supply problems, faults, or cable failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards for EHT systems, including monitoring for overheating or power irregularities.
- Collaborate with the design, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure the integration of EHT systems into larger facility designs.
- Ensure that all EHT systems comply with relevant local, national, and international codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and ensure the safety of electrical systems during installation and operation.
- Manage vendors and contractors for EHT systems procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Provide training to junior engineers and technicians on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EHT systems.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and system performance for reporting purposes.




- Work closely with the project management team to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Interact and support with other Teams/ Departments for Detail engineering activities.
- Participate in vendor/ subcontractor meetings
- Model Review in Navis Works / Working experience in AutoCAD
- Familiarity with ISO/Quality control procedures.

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in design, installation, and maintenance of EHT systems in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems, voltage regulation, and control systems.

Skills:

- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a team workplace.
- Familiar with MS Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and similar computer program
- Good Interpersonal skills, Communication skills in English

Other Desirable Requirements

- Knowledge of advanced thermal insulation and energy-efficient heat tracing technologies including remote sensing and cloud-based data logging.
- Willing for overseas office / site deputation
