About Kapxha Dynamics
Kapxha Dynamics is a DPIIT-recognized defense-tech startup based in Jaipur, building the autonomy and intelligence layer for UAVs and counter-drone systems. We are a small, fast-moving team working on real hardware that flies, not just code in a repo.
About the role
We're looking for a hands-on Drone Test Engineer to join our R&D; team in Jaipur. You'll be responsible for assembling, calibrating, flying, and stress-testing our UAV platforms, turning engineering builds into flight-proven hardware.
What you will work on
Assemble and configure multirotor/fixed-wing UAV platforms end-to-end: frame, motors, ESCs, flight controller, sensors, payload integration.
Flight-test new builds and iterations: tuning, calibration (compass, accelerometer, RC), and troubleshooting in the field.
Work hands-on with flight controllers such as Pixhawk, ArduPilot, PX4, or similar, understanding basic autopilot functioning, parameter tuning, and failsafe behavior.
Use ground control software such as Mission Planner or QGroundControl to plan, monitor, and log flight tests.
Diagnose and fix issues across airframe, power system, RC link, GPS/RTK, and telemetry during test flights.
Document test results, failure modes, and flight logs to feed into the R&D; process.
Support field trials and demonstrations,
including outdoor and remote test locations as needed.
Who we are looking for
1 to 5 years of hands-on experience assembling, flying, and testing drones or UAVs, academic, hobbyist, or professional experience all count.
You personally know how to fly a drone in manual and assisted flight modes, not just run it in simulation.
Hands-on experience with flight controller platforms such as Pixhawk, ArduPilot, PX4, or similar, including basic parameter and autopilot configuration.
Comfortable with hardware: ESC and motor setup, RC calibration, battery and power systems, basic soldering and wiring.
Open to all educational backgrounds, B.Tech, diploma, ITI, or a robust self-taught or hobbyist background are all welcome. What matters is that you can build it, fly it, and tell us why it broke.
Good to have
Experience with both multirotor and fixed-wing platforms.
GPS/RTK, telemetry, and sensor-integration exposure.
DGCA drone pilot certification.
Exposure to counter-drone or defense-related UAV systems.
Why join us A small, high-ownership team working on hardware that actually flies, not slideware. Direct access to founders. You will see a build go from the workshop to the field in weeks, not quarters.
