The Data Engineer position at Trask is responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s data environment. This involves building productive data pipelines, improving current systems while ensuring security and compliance.

The Data

Engineer must have strong technical skills, including the ability to work with databases, big data technologies, and programming languages. Additionally, they must be able to provide creative solutions, be able to test, deliver, and troubleshoot data-related issues, and be extremely organized and detail-oriented. The ideal person for this role will have a combination of analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both within the team and with external stakeholders.

Data Engineer roles and responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain data and database systems, as well as the associated infrastructure.




- Analyze and evaluate data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Design and develop ETL jobs to move, aggregate, and transform data between multiple systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to determine the necessary data requirements.
- Develop and monitor data security processes and procedures.
- Analyze, quantify, and visualize large datasets to inform data-driven decisions.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
