The Credit Officer will operate within the CLM Domestic BFSI – Manpower Back Office team at Digitide Solutions Limited, evaluating loan applications, monitoring credit risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires close interaction with customers to explain credit decisions, resolve queries, and maintain strong relationships while collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize the credit approval process.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other data to determine borrower creditworthiness.
- Prepare and present credit proposals and recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor existing loan accounts for early signs of delinquency and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure all credit decisions comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of credit assessments, approvals, and related documentation.
- Collaborate with the Customer Care team to address borrower inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in developing and updating credit risk assessment tools and scoring models.
- Prepare periodic credit risk reports for management review.
- Participate in training sessions to stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Support the back‑office team in streamlining credit processing workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in credit analysis or loan underwriting, preferably in BFSI.
- Robust analytical skills with proficiency in financial statement analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Knowledge of RBI/central bank regulations and credit compliance standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and credit management software.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a back‑office team.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a customer‑focused approach.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ICAI, CIBIL, or equivalent) are a plus.
