Responsibilities

- Ensure application uptime, performance, scalability and reliability

- Own incident management

, including on-call support, root cause analysis and post-incident reviews

- Manage and support

MS SQL Server environments, including clustering and high availability

- Monitor applications and infrastructure using

New Relic, Logz.io, AWS CloudWatch and similar tools

- Identify performance bottlenecks and drive reliability and automation improvements

- Define and improve

SLOs and SLAs

- Support disaster recovery testing

, failover exercises and availability simulations

- Collaborate with CloudOps, DevOps and Engineering teams on infrastructure and application improvements

- Manage operational incidents, changes and tasks through

Jira and Jira Service Management.

Qualifications & Experience





- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience

- 3–5 years of experience in CloudOps, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Production Engineering or a related role

- Experience working in production environments and participating in

24x7/on-call support.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong knowledge of

Windows Server, IIS and MS SQL Server

- Experience with

SQL Server high availability, clustering, failover and performance troubleshooting

- Hands-on experience with

AWS

, including EC2, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, CloudTrail and VPC

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as

New Relic, Logz.io, CloudWatch, Grafana or similar

- Good understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing and security fundamentals

- Experience with incident response, change management, RCA and postmortems

- Working knowledge of

PowerShell, Python or similar scripting languages

- Experience with

Jira / Jira Service Management

- Ability to independently troubleshoot production issues and drive them to resolution

Good to Have

- AWS, Microsoft, Windows, SQL Server or SRE-related certifications

- Exposure to

Infrastructure as Code / automation

- Experience with disaster recovery, SLO/SLA frameworks and application performance monitoring

- Experience in SaaS or high-availability production environments
