1. Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and responsible candidate to assist in the phosphating and metal surface treatment process for electrical industry components. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring process parameters, preparing and maintaining chemical baths, carrying out routine quality checks, and ensuring proper surface treatment of metal components before painting or powder coating.

The candidate will work under the guidance of the production supervisor to maintain product quality, process consistency, safety, and production efficiency.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Phosphating Process Operations

- Assist in the phosphating process for sheet metal components, electrical panels, enclosures, brackets, and other fabricated metal parts.
- Carry out surface preparation activities such as degreasing, rinsing, derusting, phosphating, and final rinsing, as applicable to the approved process.
- Monitor chemical bath parameters, including temperature, concentration, pH, and process time, as specified in the process instructions.
- Assist in chemical bath preparation, chemical dosing, and replenishment under authorized supervision.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, and handling of components during the treatment process.
- Follow the prescribed process sequence to achieve uniform surface treatment and good paint or powder coating adhesion.

Chemical Bath Monitoring and Maintenance

- Perform routine chemical bath checks according to the established testing procedures.
- Maintain records of bath concentration, pH, temperature, chemical additions, and bath maintenance.
- Inform the supervisor of abnormal readings, contamination, excessive sludge, or changes in bath performance.
- Ensure proper chemical storage, labeling, and handling as per safety data sheets (SDS) and company procedures.

C. Quality Control

- Inspect phosphated components for uniform coating, surface cleanliness, visible stains, rust, and other defects.
- Check for water breaks, incomplete treatment, or other surface conditions as required by the inspection procedure.
- Assist in coating weight tests or other laboratory tests where applicable.
- Verify that treated components are suitable for the next operation, such as painting or powder coating.
- Maintain inspection records and report nonconforming components to the supervisor.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring surface treatment defects.

D. Production and Documentation

- Follow daily production plans and complete phosphating activities within the required schedule.
- Maintain batch records, process checklists, chemical consumption records, and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with fabrication, painting, powder coating, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Minimize chemical wastage, rework, rejection, and production delays.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of treated components.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
