The Channel Finance Analyst is responsible for providing financial support and analysis to the sales and marketing teams. This role involves monitoring channel performance, analyzing sales data, and generating reports to inform strategic decision-making. The analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop financial models, budgets, and forecasts related to channel initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate channel performance and profitability.
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop budgets and forecasts for channel initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to channel sales and expenses.
- Support the development of pricing strategies and promotional offers.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis for current product launches within the channel.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Skills and Tools Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience with financial reporting and forecasting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of channel finance concepts and sales metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

- Resolution of collection and disbursal issues
2. Reporting
- Daily status reports for all 9 Channel Finance partners (EAPL & ENEPL)
- Channel Finance scheme reconciliation reports
- Payment update reports:
- Daily for Pull-method partners
- Fortnightly for Push-method partners
- Month-end Channel Finance performance report
3. Internal Operations & Coordination
- Distributor onboarding
- Distributor relationship and issue resolution
- Coordination with Sales teams (ASM, RSM & ZSM)
- Coordination with Channel Finance partners
- Overdue payment follow-ups
- Coordination with Commercial and Billing teams for:
- Credit Notes (CN)
- Debit Notes (DN)
- Payments
- Invoice receipts
